An impulse sealer is sometimes referred to as an I-sealer as it seals in a straight line, when the arm is pressed down it activates the sealer to send an impluse of heat through the sealing wire which welds the plastic. The Impulse sealer has several options including a separate cutter to trim away excess plastic and automatic timers with magnetic hold downs. Impulse sealers are ideal for sealing polypropylene and polythene bags and Poly Tubing as well a most shrink film including PVC or Polyolefin.
